For this chart I looked at renewable electricity, which is the share of electricity generated by renewable power plants in total electricity generated by all types of plants. Renewable electricity can be produced by solar energy, wind energy, hydropower, and biofuels and have a significantly smaller Carbon Dioxide emissions. Transitioning the world — yes, the whole world — to renewable energy is probably the only foreseeable solutions to climate change that I can see within my lifespan (I’m 20, born in 2000). It is so important for us to see what renewable energy output looks like now and what to expect from renewable energy in the future — when we will need in most.
